The Tribal Child Welfare Worker Certification Council (TCWWCC) is comprised 10 Native American professionals who exemplify the mission and values of the National Indian Child Welfare Association (NICWA) Tribal Child Welfare Worker Certification program.

Mission
The mission of the TCWWCC is to protect American Indian children and preserve families, tribes, and culture through the professional development of tribal child welfare workers. The TCWWCC believes in a spiritual focus that defines services as the promotion of healing.
Vision
Tribal child welfare programs will have access to qualified staff capable of providing the most effective services possible for Indian children and families.
The purpose of the TCWWCC is to set professionally sound and culturally appropriate standards, criteria, and procedures for the certification of tribal child welfare workers and to assure that workers certified by the NICWA have demonstrated knowledge, skills, and values that are known to be critical factors in effective service delivery for the healing of children, families, and communities.
