Laurie Evans is the event manager at NICWA. She began her work with NICWA in 2008 on the support team, working with the executive department. In 2009, Laurie transitioned to supporting NICWA’s events, including several training institutes and two annual conferences. Laurie transitioned into her current role as the event manager in 2010. Laurie previously worked with Portland Public Schools Title VII Indian Education; the University of Oregon’s Native American enrollment program; and the Confederated Tribes of Coos, Lower Umpqua, and Siuslaw Indians. Laurie holds two degrees from the University of Oregon: a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Fibers (2003) and an MEd in Elementary Teaching (2005).
