Leslie Miller graduated from Reed College with a BA in history and will receive her MA from University of Hawai'i, Manoa in spring 2008. Her research has focused on genocide, ethnic cleansing, and mass rape, specifically their impact on women and children. While working on her MA she taught World Civilizations courses at University of Hawai'i. After teaching, she served as the Assistant to the Executive Director of the World History Association, an academic non-profit, where she coordinated with the Executive Council on various projects and handled membership relations. She was born and raised in Portland, Oregon and is a member of the Eastern Shawnee Tribe of Oklahoma.
