Melissa Clyde is Navajo and originally from Tohatchi, New Mexico. She has a Master of Social Work degree with a concentration in American Indian mental health from the Brown School of Social Work at Washington University in St. Louis, Missouri (2007). She has a Bachelor of Arts in sociology from the University of Arizona (2001). Her experience is in tribal child welfare services, including child protective services and case management. Melissa also has experience in children's mental health as a treatment coordinator for a non-profit organization. As an MSW intern, Melissa did restorative justice work for the St. Louis Family Courts.
