New Resource to Support Families Encountering the Child Welfare System

A new resource from the National Indian Child Welfare Association (NICWA) includes timely information for families encountering the child welfare system with guidance including what to do if a parent is reported for abuse or neglect or if their child is removed from their home. NICWA and the San Manuel Band of Mission Indians Partner to Support and Promote the Unique Needs of Native Children and their Families

The National Indian Child Welfare Association (NICWA) has received a generous $300,000 grant from the San Manuel Band of Mission Indians, a federally recognized American Indian tribe located near the city of Highland, California, to provide resources to Native families across the nation that encounter the child welfare system. These resources include print public service announcements, podcasts, webinars, and social media campaigns.
