(Portland, OR, November 21, 2017)—NICWA is excited to announce our partnership with The Collins Foundation for a
1-to-1 match of new or increased donations made on #GivingTuesday—November 28th!

With a goal of $2,500, donations will help NICWA keep Native children connected to their family and culture. By defending
this human right, NICWA protects children and supports healthy families by helping them stay together. Children and
youth who develop a cultural identity and ethnic pride as a result of being connected to their communities perform better in
school, demonstrate lower rates of depression and alcohol use, and experience higher self-esteem and resilience.

NICWA is also partnering with local businesses and Native organizations to provide incentives for donors throughout the
day. Thank you to the following businesses and organizations for your partnership: AMERIND Risk, Stumptown Coffee,
Ainslee’s Saltwater Taffy, and Travel Portland.

With AMERIND Risk’s support in donor outreach and social media and The Collins Foundation’s challenge grant, NICWA
believes we will reach our $2,500 #GivingTuesday goal while increasing the number of advocates who stand together for
Native children. #4NativeChildren
